Butterflies at the MN Zoo!

I've alway been a fan of butterfly gardens. They are always awesome because I have a chance to take really cool photos of the creatures, but I mainly love them because I like to laugh when they land on people's faces. It always results in screaming. So, here's some photos from the MN Zoo before I came  back out to school!

Sometime in my life, I may be able to identify these different species. But, not today. So instead I will compensate with a picture of the grass between the Zoo and the parking lot. Art is all around us, right?

Garden August 2k14

I was only slightly exaggerating about living in the woods- this spot is merely 4 houses down the road!

My favorite part is the dog derping to the side.

The flowering plants that look a bit like Japanese Lanterns are actually quite poisonous... as I found out later, after having developed a nasty rash from bumping my leg up against them.

Don't worry folks, Chewy has since then gotten a haircut and has regained his rat-like appearance.

I'm Buggin Out!

.... because I realize I love bug photography! Found these critters around the outside of my house and down a nearby walking path.

Back and Better than Ever

Well, not back for super long.

This weekend I got back from my 9 weeks of working at a summer camp. Here are a few photos that I have been toying with from my time there, not a big deal. But- I am super excited to get back at it and go on photo adventures until heading back west at the end of August!

^I've got the tan lines to prove my summer job.
