Life Update... Via Instagram

I haven't posted anything in a while... just been super busy preparing an audition for a Whitman scholarship and making it through school and everything agh. But this video made me pee my pants laughing so I decided, hay, wut the heck, and here it is! Hopefully this will document this video for... well... ever?

Analysis of the Selfie.
Do I look good? Does duck face help accentuate my cheek bones? I should check to see if my eyeliner smudged. May as well take a picture at the same time. Maybe Instagram it. Maybe it will get a bunch of likes on Facebook.
Ahh- the Selfie. This wondrous, hideous fad which seems to have taken over the picture libraries on every teen's cell phone. I am still trying to understand why this happens... Maybe I am unable to because I am now on the inside. Since I got my new phone, I have had the constant urge to just take pictures of myself. Why does this happen? Is it pure self centered ways? I like to think that it is just me wanting to document my life for that point in time, but why do I feel the need to document so often? What has happened that has made our generation so addicted to technology. Always checking Facebook, always hoping to a like on a profile picture. It all seems so shallow to me, and I have been trying to avoid it, but I will be the first to admit I like the likes! But what has happened to us where we can suddenly feel loved by people sitting on their computers, sliding fingers on their phone to click "like" It is odd. Maybe I will understand by taking a Selfie... Duck face and all for your enjoyment.

The First Fireworks
