Liberal Arts at its Finest

For my Haiku and Nature of Japan course (through the world literature department, somehow counts for my major), we went on an adventure to where the bunchgrass grows. Mike Denny, head of Walla Walla's Audubon Society, gave us a tour of the ecological qualities of the landscape. We had also taken time to explore the bunchgrass on our own and feel out the environment- which for me meant laying in the sunshine and letting the sounds of the crickets and birds engulf my body.

Here's where we went!
